Health
In the remote areas of the Indian state of Odisha, various indigenous communities live. Although they are granted certain special rights in India, their lives are marked by discrimination and exclusion. Their access to education and adequate healthcare is limited due to social stigma as well as the region’s remoteness. During the rainy season, it is hardly possible for outsiders to reach the isolated villages. To strengthen healthcare in the region, Usthi has developed a comprehensive range of health services that is closely tailored to local conditions.
Usthi’s health projects are implemented in collaboration with a local partner organisation in the Keonjhar district of the state of Odisha.
